Happy Holiday and Happy Decision Day. Good Luck to you all!

Just got back from having coffee at the park, kids were playing soccer, doing handstands in the grass. It was a great day! Happy decision day as well.

We have a beautiful day here for May Day–the weather is perfect! My kids always go around the neighborhood anonymously delivering flowers…they LOVE it! Happy May Day and Decision Day to all!

Yep - it’s a holiday here in Germany. Housecleaning day for us, since hubby’s home and company’s coming! Washing windows all morning.

Berurah - bring us some flowers!

Awwwwwwwwwww, honey, if you weren’t out of the country, you’d be the FIRST one our list!!! :)

And to remind those of you within the United States, today is A Day Without an Immigrant. Those showing support are asked to wear white and not contribute to the economy for a day to show the power of immigrants and their supporters. Also, there are unprecedented rallies and demonstrations going on across America. Please consider this as a way to be politically active AND celebrate May Day :)

I’m wearing my whites, and will be at the rally.

Would’ve considered it, but something about a rally on what was the biggest communist holiday when I was born really rubbed me wrong.

/child of immigrants, but from a part of the globe where such connections are still greatly important

Just to set the record straight - May Day, now known as International Workers’ Day, originated in the United States in the mid-1880s. The labor union movement in the United States is as about as capitalist as you can get!

sighs It seems Beltane is lost. May Day (not neccessarily here, but in other countries) is a Christianized product of Beltane, an old pagan rite.

But yay for May Day/Beltane!
