Happy Passover/Pesach!

Much searching but I couldn’t find a 2024 thread so here it is.

I am picking up rental car at noon and will drive with my niece (lives in St. Croix, has lived in NYC and loved it, here for medical reasons) to the Boston area. We’ll stay with my first cousin and her husband and kids or perhaps I’ll spend the night with my 83-year-old aunt who lives nearby and has aides 24/7. Our seder (very casual!) will be tomorrow night with cousin’s brother and his family as well. Happy Holiday to all!

Happy Passover! The Passover recipe thread (which has also served for general plans) has been back for a little while.

Our first night seder was at home with just the two of us and son face timing in. Second night seder was last night at the synagogue.

Happy Passover! I would pay to get invited over for a bowl of matzoh soup and that matzoh crack (a sweet) I keep seeing - too bad all my Jewish family is out of town!

I made too much soup for just the two of us but may freeze some tonight. Better too much than too little!

I could not celebrate this year. I know I should, but with family still in Gaza my anxiety about everything just made me unable to think about it, plan it or celebrate it this year. And just hours ago, I found out that there is proof of life of Hersh Polin-Goldburg. Yes, I more than most, know what a family goes through after a hostage video is released, but for now, Deyanu. He is alive!

Wonderful Passover Seder including heartfelt remembrances of those who passed away. My 83-year-old aunt lost her two best friends (met both in high school and they all married within weeks of one another) within the last month. Aside from sharing sad stuff, it was really nice to be surrounded by my family (certainly not all, but most) and share the holiday together.

Ah, you seem to be of the fluffy kneidlach denomination. Only firm ones in our household!

Dessert was fresh berries with whipped cream, and matzo crack (with melted chocolate chips and nuts/sprinkles/whatever broken into small pieces.
