Running a little early, but I have access to 'puter, yay! I probably won’t on Thursday, lol. What’s been going on? What have I been missing out on in my disconnected state? Everybody ready to see family and friends? Looking forward to it? Dreading it? We will be winging it, and that’s okay. Gonna be an informal T-day for us this year .

Happy early Thanksgiving to you, Deborah T!

D will be arriving home (hopefully) tomorrow - I say hopefully because we are forecast to receive anywhere from one to nine inches of snow depending on the forecast you believe! I am definitely looking forward to her safe arrival.

I will not be winging it - I will be volunteering at our town’s first ever Turkey Trot - and then preparing a calorie laden repast for my family.

Hope you have a wonderful day with much to be thankful for.

DS is coming home late tonight, so no worries about traveling in the possible snow tomorrow. Having another family over for dinner. We keep it pretty low key and just enjoy the day.

I’m debating how much work I should be putting on my sermon for Thursday, given the forecast. Tomorrow night’s service is REALLY iffy due to 8-12" snow prediction (I’m hosting that one, but not preaching).

After church on Thursday we are driving to the NYS daughter’s house and enjoying the day, plus the weekend tree lighting and parade in her small town.

Enjoy your laid back Turkey Day DebT! D1 arrived home tonight and the other two still live at home so all are present and accounted for! Looking forward to a couple of fun days!

Best to all!!

We host a big Thanksgiving dinner every year, so it will be busy but fun. Both kids have arrived home safely and are planning to run a local 5K tomorrow AM. In addition, we are cooking extra to take to the church for the free dinner there.
Happy Thanksgiving and safe travels to all!

Happy Thanksgiving. D on her flight home as we speak; will pick S up late tonight (he is an RA and so can’t leave campus til late Wed). Juggling work, trying to work out (doing a 5k Turkey trot and trust me, I trot), and mom in rehab hospital after hip surgery (she’s fine, but still a worry). Hosting 8. Happy TD to all!

Hope all your travelers arrive safely, PG!

Happy thanksgiving to you Deborah!

Going to my SIL tomorrow. My kids are not coming. S and gf are coming on the weekend though. Should be a nice low key holiday. No travel problems here in Michigan

In Texas, for thanksgiving H family reunion . So far so good., I think. Set off smoke alarm making veggies (no fan but got it out). One hour difference got woken up by FIL who was right when I said 7am and meant 8 am their time…so getting ready to drive a few hours !

Happy thanksgiving!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all! Kiddo who arrived last night is still solidly asleep in her bed. I’m trying to convince Mr that we (or should I say “I”?) should try to make our turkey on the grill.

We are enjoying a beautiful white Thanksgiving in Maine. Our 19-year-old son is in Florida. His gap year program is only a bus ride away from Daytona Beach, so he is spending a few days with my SIL. So it’s just my 22-year-old son, 16-year-old daughter, DH, and me at home. No company! It’s very nice.

Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving to all!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Me and my sis are fixing the Thanksgiving feast today! So far so good!

Happy to All! I really enjoy the singing on the Macy Parade.

We had an unusually quiet day in terms people at our table. Older daughters couldn’t come but will be here for Christmas. It was just my husband , daughter and step-daughter. Very nice, peaceful day. I made most of my food yesterday, with the exception of the turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy.

Turkey on the grill was a huge HIT! Google Reluctant Gourmet - I followed his instructions, and the bird turned out perfect.
Mr conceded that it was a good idea to grill the big bird.

Guests left aroung 11 pm and I had piles of dish to do. No Black Friday shopping here in store or online.

You know you are getting old, did your parenting job, et al when you visit your 25 year old son (we are staying at a hotel) and HE insists on picking up the restaurant tab! There was no way I expected him to cook or was I going to at his studio apt.

No work, no cleanup and no leftovers.
