I generally hate party settings if I don’t know a lot of people there. Alcohol gets me way more comfortable and way more talkative. Now, if it’s a party with people I know then I don’t need much to drink at all.

<3 the devil’s mouthwash

^That’s me. I’m generally uncomfortable around new people, especially in a party setting. If I’ve had alcohol (enough to get me a little buzzed, not drunk), I can actually hold a conversation with eye contact and everything.

+1 to the above. It’s not really that I can’t converse with people, I just can’t make myself have fun with people I don’t know well. I’m always able to limit myself, it’s one of my abilities I’m glad to have.

Turns out, being the only clear-thinking person in a room full of highly suggestible people can be quite amusing.
