Harcum College $$$$$ Help How/

I 'm trying to help a neighbor get additional money for expenses, etc. as she attends Harcum College for a Assistant Dentist/ EFDA Program. She received her undergrad degree from West Chester in December 2008.

What financial aid opportunities are available once a student receives a undergraduate degree? I believe her noncustodial father will co-sign school loans but she is living off campus in an apartment and live need additional money for books, etc. that the school loan apparently doesn’t cover.

I have heard Wachovia Bank is good for private loans but always hear they are not regulated so interest rates could go up higher than school loans. What details should she ask the school?

Any suggestions? She will be 23 in August

Thank you

I suggest that your friend’s first stop be at Harcum’s financial office. There are resources available which they can suggest. Also PHEAA, the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Authority @ [PHEAA - Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency](http://www.pheaa.org) will be a big help.
