My school has a very unusual GPA scale, and I wanted to know if it would make me look bad when schools see my resulting GPA. With around a 3.85 weighted GPA, I am in the top 15, or top 10% of my class. My school doesn’t use the letter system, rather, uses pure percentages. I have only ever received one grade below a 90. However, my unweighted GPA is a 3.3. Will this make me look bad?
Note that my transcript does show my actual grades as well as the GPA.
Your GC will provide information about your grading scale and you will be evaluated accordingly. It won’t hurt you. Congratulations on being in the top 10%!
