<p>Just a theoretical. If you were unsuccessful in say engineering at USC and decided to change majors, and your parents were only paying for the school for the engineering school, would it be hard to transfer out of USC for a UC? I know some schools don’t recognize private school’s classes and you end up taking a bunch of new classes.</p>
<p>This is a little difficult because there is no published Articulation Agreement from USC to a UC (i.e. FROM a private school TO a public school). Don’t be confused with USC’s Articulation agreement with UC’s- that is only what USC will accept, not what the other way around. </p>
<p>The only way to get the information is to contact the Articulation Office at the school that you would transfer to. But even if they give you information about certain classes now, the UC’s do not guarantee that the classes will transfer the same from year to year.</p>
<p>How about say, from USC to another private school (*cough cough Cornell)? </p>
<p>I was given a GT (guaranteed transfer) sophomore year at Cornell, and since USC was my second choice, I’ve already put down my deposit there. I figure, if I still really like Cornell, I’ll switch. If I really like USC, I’ll just stay there.</p>
