Hard work for absolutely nothing -- (waitlist)

Sorry to beat a dead horse and join the sea of waitlist threads, but im feeling kind of lost and thought that i could at least turn to CC. I got waitlisted by 4 of my schools and only accepted by my state safety and McGill. I only have 3 results left and 2 of them are reaches, and even though one is a pretty good match, im scared ill be rejected by it as well like the other schools.

I have a 35 ACT, a 4.0 UW, a pretty good common app essay about starting an odd business and good ECs. i applied to most of my schools through QB + now, out of applying to 11+ schools, im scared im only going to have 2 solid options left. im happy to know that im not the only one with a bunch of waitlists, but its still pretty upsetting

If affordable McGill is a fantastic acceptance to have (and likely your state school is a great option as well)!!

Your work is NOT for nothing – it has prepared you to succeed at college and beyond.

If the two schools that admitted you are affordable, then you did not get “absolutely nothing”.

I feel you… I got waitlisted by my top choice colleges and I was lowkey depressed for a week after that. But I feel better now, and I hope you will too :slight_smile: I am sure you’ll have more choice than the current two you have, good luck!
