hardest essay

hello cc,
first of all happy new years. hopefully march of 2013 is one of the best months for all of us. second of all, this is out of curiosity. to my fellow applicants, which essay (personal statement, short essay, activity logs, or optional), did you think was the toughest? by toughest, I mean most difficult to write.

past applicants can chime in as well.

I thought the essay we had to write about on our view of culture or something like that was the hardest.

I had a hard time writing the culture one as the above poster said, which was odd considering I did a foreign school exchange my junior year summer.

additional comments for sure, I had no idea what to say…

For that one I just talked about what I hoped to do in college, since my extracirriculars weren’t able to show that. (My school is pretty lacking in the math/science clubs and activities)

I’m a minority - however I did not talk about my ethnicity as what gave me “diversity” I spoke about my activities and my viewpoints. I had the opportunity to teach business to Polish kids so I spoke about that comparing that to when I taught business to American kids.
Then i talked about my work withs summer camps, and how I worked with low income students, at YMCA camps, to high affluent kids in the suburbs.
How these perspectives gave me diversity and stuff.
