Honors Algebra 2 has to be the hardest class I’ve taken… But I learned a lot! AP Calc AB is way easier than algebra 2 to be honest.

There’s an organic chem class at my school that I hear people say is the hardest science class. Honors English 3 is hard as well, but it may just be the teacher. I’ve heard the other honors English 3 teacher is a joke.

Probably Honors Calculus 3 or Honors English 4

My school has multi-variable calculus and an “advanced research methods” class.

Japanese 5-6 Honors
The teacher is teaching most of the same things from AP Japanese. We’re starting timed essays soon. Regular 5-6 is nothing compared to honors at my school.

Precalculus Honors
Everyone taking this class complains about the teacher’s inability to make the material understandable.

Anatomy and Physiology
They say it’s as hard as any AP.

honors pre-calc and honors english 2 are the hardest non aps in my school

@RHSclassof16

Many students DID intentionally perform badly on the pretest - and subsequently got accused of academic dishonesty and might even fail the class.

Anatomy and Physiology - If you can’t memorize large amounts of information with seemingly no connection to each other, then you’re on your own for this class. Most people at my school consider it an equivalent to AP Chem or AP Bio.

Other than that, I guess I would have to say the Pre-AP Honors classes (Honors LA 10 and Honors Pre-Calculus) give people a good amount of stress.

Yakisoba, are you sure you don’t go to my school? The teacher your describing sounds exactly like mine last year, I still managed an A in that class, but she hated me.

Pre-Calculus Honors - There’s not much to say about this class, it’s just hard.

Calculus 3 - Only the people in the top 10 percent are in this class. There’s a good mix of juniors and seniors.

Honors Spanish 4 - Teacher speaks very fast and has a very strict grading policy.

Honors Algebra II - I didn’t think it was that bad, but 10 kids dropped the class when I took it. The teacher’s midterm and final were probably the hardest part of the class.

Pre-Calculus Honors: Teacher is horrible, gives insanely difficult tests, and students who typically get straight A’s, 800’s on SAT math often get C’s in his class. Considered exponentially more difficult than AP Calc.

English 10 Honors: English 10 Honors has the largest workload out of any class offered at our high school, AP or otherwise.

Spanish IV-Spanish IV is the second highest level foreign language before AP and it is very difficult due tons of memorization and tough grading. Grammar is only taught marginally and there is a greater emphasis on culture and literature.

Latin (all levels)-Latin is very hard at our high school, taught by a man with a doctorate inC Classics. It is a ton of work and the grading system is harsh.

Algebra II Honors: A freshman dominated class, Algebra II Honors is a shock to the system for many high school newbies as well as being taught by an excellent, but tough teacher.

Algebra 2/Trig Honors, because it covers a lot of material and adds some pre-calc at the end

English 3 Honors, because the teacher grades essays harshly and there’s a lot of reading

English 2, because most of the English 2 teachers at my school either grade harshly or don’t teach. Or both.

Journalism, it’s not really difficult, it just requires a lot of commitment outside of class time to get articles, pictures, and layout out on time.

Honors Debate: The teacher had and amazing personality but she was extremely hard on grading debates. We also had to spend hours upon hours outside of class writing speeches and preparing for our debates if we wanted a decent grade. I had more homework for that class than all of my other classes combined, but maybe I’m just really bad at public speaking and I have to plan everything out.

I also heard Honors Spanish IV and AP Chem were killers… literally at most 1 person gets an A in each class

multivariate calc, physics honors, or advanced computer science topics (i think that’s what my school calls it…it’s basically what people take after ap cs)

Math 11: enriched prealgebra. We were doing trig in seventh grade.

Honors English 10 - I currently have a C in this class. A LOT of people have bad grades, even the people who are like in the top 10.
IB Chemistry (HL?) - I’ve heard a lot of upperclassmen say it’s hard.

Anatomy and Phys would probably be the only one. Everything else is garbage.

IB Biology HL - This is mostly because the teacher has no idea what she’s doing, and none of us have taken Biology since 7th grade. The tests aren’t even based off of the textbook - they’re based off of some Internet guide - so the tests are nothing like what’s covered in class. This is generally most people’s most frustrating class.

IB Physics SL - Only seniors can take this class. From what I’ve heard, it’s difficult and very few kids sign up per year.

IB Chemistry SL - From what I’ve heard, it’s very difficult and a huge step up from pre-IB Chemistry. Apparently almost everyone failed the first quiz of the year.

IB French B SL - The French kids have oral presentations every month, quizzes every week, and unit tests every two weeks, plus lots of homework in between. IB Spanish is a joke compared to French.

IB English HL year I - The teacher gives tons of work and doesn’t give us much time to do it. I’ve had to do multiple Scarlet Letter packets this year that ended up being longer than an Extended Essay (4,000 words), and in one case, was only given two days of notice to do it.

The honors classes at my school are jokes, so I have no idea what I’d even include in this list if IB didn’t count.

At my school, the classes I took sophomore and freshman years were relatively not too hard, with like a couple honors each year. However, from what I’ve heard and what I’m experiencing now as a junior, these are the hardest classes:

-Honors Physics
-Honors Bio
-Honors Pre-Calc BC
