<p>I have been wondering if I should write one of my common app essays on both of my parents being schizophrenic. </p>
<p>I realize there are several factors that I must consider (such as discrimination.) </p>
<p>My resume is strong enough that my application does not depend on this “hook.” Any advice would be greatly appreciated.</p>
<p>The essay should be personal, detailed, and revealing–of you. Would this topic allow you to write your most personal, detailed, and revealing essay?</p>
