<p>I enjoy movies more when I haven’t read the book recently. It bugs me when the movie skips/changes stuff (especially sacred HP storylines)! </p>
<p>DS1’s gang got tickets for opening night 2 weeks ago, but all our suburban theaters were already sold out. They will have a 45 minute drive to see it. DS2’s friends have less organizational skills, so maybe he’ll go with me.</p>
<p>I bought tickets more than a month ago but then I realized that I will be out of town for a wedding so I won’t be using them 
We are driving down to Florida on Thursday and then we are busy all weekend hanging with family before and after my cousin’s wedding.</p>
<p>I saw HP5, HP6, and HP7PT1 in theaters but I am sad to be missing this one. I also did the midnight release from Order of the Phoenix onwards.</p>
<p>I am very sad about the ending of this but I know it isn’t forever. Jo Rowling will continue to write and will continue to share stories like these. I was enamored by these books and they helped me get through a lot of hard times. I’ve read through all of the books numerous times and have found reasons to love them each and every time. I was maybe 9 when I started to read them and it fueled my reading. </p>
<p>Harry Potter did influence my life in a big way. In the summer of 2006 I went to NYC to see Jo Rowling, Stephen King, and John Irving do a brilliant reading and Q&A session for charity. When Prisoner of Azkaban came out in theaters it was the end of the school year and we all went right after school came out. I remember talking in middle school about what was going to happen and whether Jo would kill Harry off or not.</p>
<p>I made friends on other forums through Harry Potter. I’ve donated to organizations like the Harry Potter Alliance who use Harry’s message as a way to promote social justice issues. I have listened to Wizard Rock and watch musicians blossoms through Jo’s writing. </p>
<p>I am sad to see this movie series come to an end. I cried my eyes out in the last 200 or so pages of Deathly Hallows so I know that the movie is going to be brutal. I haven’t been watching any of the sneak peaks lately but I’ve caught some interviews (oh god the premiere in London was absolutely magical) but I don’t want to see the movie before I actually SEE the movie.</p>

<p>D2 saw the movie last night (sneak preview on the naval base). She said Snape (Alan Rickman) was terrific and Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) was comical. But she loved it!</p>
<p>Looking forward to the movie, but I think it’s going to be pretty sad… The book was sad! Loving this weekend’s ABC Family movie marathon, ha ha. : -)</p>
<p>We’ve spent the weekend watching the ABC Family marathon. We have the 7th movie out on netflix to watch after tonight. </p>
<p>I definitely grew up with the Harry Potter books as well. We ready all of them aloud. When it started, my mom would read the books aloud to my 2 siblings and I. Sometimes she would be reading one to us while we were waiting for a flight at the airport, and a group of kids would join us to listen. By the time we got to the later books, we would share chapters. Luckily, we were all home from college when the 7th book was released- we pulled comfy chairs into our family room and traded off reading for the entire weekend. We finished the whole book out loud in 3 days. It was great!</p>
<p>I’m going to a midnight 3-d showing with a friend. I’ll probably go with my mom during the weekend (while we stay home to avoid carmaggedon). So excited!</p>

<p>I cried. I wanted to cheer when Neville killed Nagini. But, the theatre was silent, so I didn’t. </p>
<p>I’m telling Santa I’d like a DVD for Christmas. </p>
