Who’s going to see it?

I just watched a trailer and only recognized about half of the scenes from my reading years ago. I need to brush-up so when it’s over I can rebutt D regarding which is better: book or movie. ;)

I’ll be going to see it several times, both with friends from school and at home over Thanksgiving break. I can’t wait!! :D

One of my good friends offered to buy me a ticket for the midnight screening, but alas they were all sold out already. :(

We planning to see it on an IMAX screen.

Both of my daughters have been counting the days until its release. My 15 year old will be attending the midnight showing, while my freshman D will attend the midnight showing at her college with some new HP diehards.

It’s been a tradition in our family to attend the first show. This is the first time the girls will not be attending it together. Older D is handling this much better than younger D.

I am a big HP fan and just reread the 7th book in anticipation of the movie. I can wait until the weekend to see it though (my midnight showing days are past).

I am seeing the midnight show and then seeing it again at IMAX two days later-- boyfriend stalled too long about getting tickets and the IMAX midnight show sold out, I could have killed him, but now I am just going to see it twice anyway.

D2 and I will go to the midnight showing. D1 will be seeing it in London with friends. I am jealous.

We will be waiting very patiently for S to come home for Thanksgiving to see it with us. Unless we can’t and we sneak off to see it before the 24th.

It comes out on my S’s 17th birthday. He’s very excited, and going with some friends for his birthday celebration. He’s been joking ever since they announced the release date that it was his birthday present.

When the first movie came out, a close friend had a movie premier party and took a group of 40 elementary kids and parents to the theater dressed in robes. Now some of those kids are in college! The invitations were delivered by owl post on parchment with green ink.

Will see it Thanksgiving Day w/DH, DD, DS and my mom.

I was in elementary school when I read the first book, and I am graduating college this year. Crazy to think about. I’m going to see the movie at midnight. The last one is going to feel very strange, like the end of an era.

D going to 12:01 Imax and I am taking our younger children Friday night to the “D-Box” showing (moving seats) but was shocked at $17 price tag. That’s what I get for promising before I did my homework.

My husband came home tonight and said he got 4 tickets for a Thursday 6:30 IMAX show!!! Of course my younger daughter has claimed all 4 tickets and asked if daddy could possibly get a fifth because she had already organized a midnight viewing with 4 other friends. He’s such a sucker! So mommy will be driving, dropping off, having dinner and killing time with daddy then driving home again and have to wait on line over the weekend.

I did reread the last book recently to refresh and don’t expect much from the movie but I sure would like to see it when my daughter does. Maybe daddy can get 3 more tickets so we can all go, hmmmm…

Going to see it at 12:21AM in my college town. I am going to be totally exhausted since I have a class at 9AM but its on Fans, Fandom, and Fantasy so you think my professor would give a little wiggle room right?

I’m sure we’ll be seeing it, not sure when. IMSAgeek, it is not the last movie, part 2 will be coming out in July.

I know, I meant the last one will feel strange. I’m really happy they split it into two.

I’m seeing it at midnight which is tradition because I am obsessed with the series!! After that I’m sure I’ll see it at least 5 more times in theatres (I really want to see it in IMAX at one point). Another poster said they re-read the 7th book in anticipation–so did I! As others have previously said, I’m also super excited that they decided to split the film into 2 parts!! Book lovers will finally be satisfied I believe.

I’m watching the live stream of the premiere right now haha!! You have to love HP!!

My DD is living in the UK, she has her special premier ticket which comes with VIP seating- a lazyboy recliner and a pint ;)

^Oh My Lord, soooooooo lucky!!!

somemom - won’t she also see it earlier because of the time difference? If I let them, my kids would visit for the day just to do that!
