Harvard 2015 Hopefuls

^^ I know people who have gotten in without the additional essay.

Yeah, the optional essay truly is optional, even though I don’t see why you wouldn’t do it, especially if you wanted to reveal something else that was interesting about yourself…

^I think I will, but it’s not going to be an essay (:

@ RainbowSprinkles: Is it a supplement then?

^nope. (: it’s something special hehe

I’m just going to use it to talk about my research. My Yale supplement sucked, so I won’t be recycling it.

I’m just going to use it to talk about my research. My Yale supplement sucked, so I won’t be recycling it.

Holy double post. How did that happen

CC is just weird sometimes. Don’t worry about it.

I didn’t think my Yale supplement was too hot either, but I’m assuming that it’s passable based off of my result and haven’t bothered editing it further. That and I’ve become pretty lazy as of late.

Ah… senioritis? ;)

My H supplement was twice as long as that of Yale, cuz it doesn’t require a word limit, but I felt as if my Yale essay is much better…oh well, we’ll see how things turn out in April

Becoming lazy is acceptable if you got into Yale.

@ boomshakalaka: Most of the time, succinct responses are best, except when you need to reveal details that tell even more things about you.

P.S. Cool, my post count is a palindrome!

You can make an alternative version of the common app to update or fix things before submitting it to other schools

Hey I read in last year’s Stats thread that some applicants (mifune) sent more than one supplement essay. How would you do that? Writing both essays in the same document that you then attach to the supplement question thing?

^Yes. Or attaching both in the Common App, or uploading another one in the Additional Information section.

I submitted my CommonApp last night, and it’s saying that I haven’t finished the future plans section. I definitely completed it though. Anyone else having this problem?

I’m just going to apply because I have 10 transcripts I can send and I need a school. Might as well be Harvard. But it’s definitely not my top choice.

Does the Harvard application status thing say that future plans aren’t completed? Because I don’t think common app will let you submit unless the future plans are completed
