Harvard 2015 Hopefuls

He had a kid at the age of 10-12 while attending Harvard himself. I thought it was self-evident?

^ Oh yeah! Haha

I’m a Harvard hopeful! Sorry if I’m late. I had to creep on you guys for a bit before I threw myself in the water. I like ya’ll. I hope you all get into Harvard.

Welcome aboard :)

Thank you! :)

You said ya’ll!!! <3

And now you said it, because I’m just an influential person. xD

everybody chant with me when you get into harvard:
(In the tune of i just had sex by lonely island)
I just got into Harvard! And it felt so good!

Too many syllables

hahaha oh dear, that is if I get into Harvard

Lol@wangitang.

If I do get in, I will sing that song. And write full lyrics to it. And we will sing it together.

Hi all, should I be concerned if I haven’t received an interview yet?

^Nope. I believe interviews go until the end of February (that’s what my Harvard interviewer told me, at least).

Interviews are only given if there is an alumnus in your area.

Ah okay, I’m only concerned because it seems like most of my friends have already gotten contacted for interviews and I haven’t. I guess I shall have to be patient.

I’ve pretty much accepted the fact that I’ll be rejected, and if I’m not, it’ll be a pleasant surprise. But yay my application’s finally complete! (School report was missing for a while.) Now I just have to wait for my interview and for March 30.

I’m enjoying how everyone I see from the south wants to get out of their state. I feel for you all. Haha

SlushyG - Why is that so?

@DreamsUnlimited

I’m stuck in the middle of nowhere myself. Don’t get me wrong, I love the forests. I just don’t like how nearly everyone who was born in my area, stays in my area. There were kids in my school who had extremely high scores in everything, tons of EC’s, ect… But none of them are leaving. One of them is going to a local community college so she doesn’t leave her parents. Most of the others are just traveling elsewhere in the state so they can stay together as a class. I like seeing a bit of diversity. Y’know?

On the Yale Forum it seems like lots of likely letters arriving (mostly for science kids being invited to the Yale science and engineering weekend for prospective freshmen). Only a few reports of Harvard likely letters. Anyone got one or know anyone who has?

Was anybody told by their interviewer that Harvard had called that interviewer and expressed that they were “very interested” in that applicant and to be sure that the interview report is completed as soon as possible?

@Aniger: My Yale interviewer told me that Yale is absolutely desperate for the science/math majors as they have recently built a science wing of the campus and need students to fill the program.

@SlushyG: I see the same thing - I go to a school with a ridiculous number of high achieving minorities and other “hooked” applicants who are applying to the local colleges simply because they don’t really want to leave our area. I am the only ivy applicant at my school, even though some of our minority students have been sent recruiting letters from Harvard, Carleton, Duke, etc.
