Harvard Admissions

I am in my junior year of high school and I have a weighted 2.95 GPA that I hope to get to a 3.0 by the end of the year is there any chance of getting into Harvard? I have 1 AP as of now and a few honors…
I started 2 clubs at my school in addition to being in a fair few. I have a letter of recommendation from my state congressman and I have over 260 community service hours. I also have a lot of extra curricular activities such as winning regionals in spoken word and 2D art and I volunteer as a teacher in my Sunday school. I have also helped start an organization for minority female feminists in my area to bring them together. Is there any chance at all for Harvard or any other Ivy League?

I wouldn’t say impossible, but… well, yeah, pretty close to impossible.

Probably not. That said, there are many other great schools for you to consider…

What other schools would you suggest?

Please go to the upper left and select the link for SuperMatch. It will match you with schools.

GPA is going to hurt you. What about test scores?? Preference in schools: East/West/Midwest/South? Urban/Suburban/Rural? Large/Small? In-state/OOS? No one can suggest you any schools unless you give some criteria. The most that posters can say is there is extremely slim chance of you being accepted to any top 50 schools based on the above information. I have attached the common dataset for Harvard. Only 1.04% of enrolled students had a GPA of 3.0.

I mean you can always go to Africa and work under an organization that combats human trafficking and/or complete a hike up Mt.Everest in record time and/or cure cancer and use those activities to mask up your GPA.

@tguan916‌. Won’t work. At least not for the OP. If he could develop in to an elite college QB, that would work.

Sorry, but Harvard isn’t going to happen.

nearly impossible… :frowning: Harvard’s acceptance rate is about 5-6%.
