Congratulations fellow acceptees! I thought it would be nice to have a thread where we could congregate and celebrate! Feel free to discuss any and all issues, future Harvardites!

P.S. Anyone and everyone is invited to participate so post away!!

OMG!!! I’m so ecstatic (((and surprised))). I feel soooooooooooo darn honored and just, ugh. I’m completely overwhelmed.

I’m proof that you don’t have to have straight As and a 1600 to get into Harvard. But I was dedicated to my passions, and made sure that my dedication came through in my essays, recs, supplementary resume—everything. I’m so happy. If you would’ve asked me, in tenth grade, what college I was thinking of going to, I would’ve said: “Not Harvard. I’ll never get in.” The fact that going to Harvard is a tangible possibility for me now is, well, I can’t put it into words. I’m soooooo happy.

CONGRATS CLASS OF '09!!! HUGS AND ICE CREAM FOR EVERYONE!!!

Wonka-I’d say I’m 90% sure I’m going to Harvard. If I get into Stanford, I’m going to pre-frosh weekend, and that could possibly lure me away. The only other possibilities are if I get one of the 10 full scholarships to Duke, or if somehow I have a huge change of heart and NEED to play football, so I go to Amherst.

Jubilation! They somehow wanted me! I fall on the floor and I’m laughing!

It’s just so surreal. I called my grandparents; their pride and elation was the best part of it. It’s such an honor to be accepted. I called my family and closest friends and they’re screaming in glee too. I feel so blessed right now!
