Best of luck today, y’all!
Giving out virtual cupcakes >:D<
Junior here, just wanted to say good luck! The only thing that matters about this stupid college admission process that we go through is that we don’t let any school add or take away from the amazing things we have accomplished, and especially not from how we view our self-worth. You guys are awesome and a rejection or an acceptance will never change that.

They freezed the UPenn Discussion. Anyone know why?
@Homeostasis101 - I am sure they will reopen the UPenn thread soon. They are probably deleting all the fraudulent messages about calling and finding out results.
I have no skin in the game. None of my kids were ‘Ivy’ material and as I await a final decision for/from my youngest from a non-Ivy I find myself drawn to the amazing kids and families who await word at 5 pm tonight from the country’s finest school. You are all amazing! The absolute worst situation you will be in after 5 pm is you will have a choice of some incredible schools, with many of your receiving hard-earned grants and scholarships. You’ve read it/heard it/hate it: these schools don’t define you, you define them. I do not envy the pressure you feel, but I admire the effort you’ve all given. Good luck and know you will succeed wherever you go.
@brucemag That was the sweetest, most uplifting comment! Thank you for saying that:)
That is indeed a wonderful comment @brucemag. On behalf of my son, ‘Thank You’.
I know it’s late, but can someone chance me?
White male
25 ACT
1220 SAT
Average EC’s, no real leadership positions.
Ranked in top 50% at pretty good public school.
Essays and Letters are amazing!
Harvard is my dream, what do y’all think?
@dilloncp I’ll be a bit honest. 25 is a quite low ACT score, and same with you’re SAT scores. What do you mean by average EC’s? I guess that will depend on the rarity and the prestigiousness of the ECs. 50% isn’t that good either, unless you’re school is so good half the class gets perfect scores. But of course, the aspect that weighs more are Essays, so if you think they are excellent you’ll definitely have a chance. I know plenty of people that have gotten in with those scores, so don’t lose hope. Good Luck!
@wherewillibe2021 I’d say a good amount update. The idea of deferral is to compare you to RD candidates and the updates just help you get over that cusp that made them so indecisive in the REA round. It shouldn’t worry you now, though, seeing as there are less than 3.5 hours left to wait. Just remember that Harvard is Harvard and not getting in does not have to keep you from doing well wherever you end up. Best of luck to you!
good luck everyone
I temporarily closed it while I cleaned it up. There was a sudden spate of posts made by persons that live under bridges.
1 hour, 40 minutes to go!
