Harvard: Cutthroat Competition or a Supportive Community?

There appears to be two opposite descriptions of Harvard:

1) An evil corporation that promotes agressiveness and competition.
2) A supportive community that encourages friendship and cooperation.

I find both of these opinions wrong; Harvard is more of a mix of both. It’s competitive, however, relationships fostered in Harvard will probably affect it’s students carriers and lives. What do u think?

You should join the conversation on other another thread, rather than starting your own thread on basically the same subject: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/harvard-university/1384043-ivies-overrated.html

Evil corporation, hmm? Sounds like you’ve been spending a lot of time at Occupy.

^That was sarcasm, you know.

“Are the Ivies Overrated” is a general conversation, not specifically about this issue.
