Harvard EA Roster + Countdown

perfectdark-Harvard and MIT have different numbers of EA applicants, different admission processes, and different admissions officers. Why would they necessarily follow the same schedule?

Um… how different can the application processes be? They read the app, make a summary and then everyone votes on it. That’s what basically happens.

MIT is admitting ~400 students this year, whereas Harvard normally does ~1000 (in EA). You know, these guys work on weekends and well into the evening.

You never know what might happen. :p

7 days left.

One week.

ONE.

I hate it that I am the only one reeeeeally doing the countdown :(

6 days left.

Its confirmed now that THE DAY is 14th Dec, time 5pm EST.

Its going to be 3 AM Dec 15th here. :(

Where exactly was it confirmed? Can someone post the link to the Harvard website?

Of course! :)

4 days, 21 hrs, 3 mins

Has anyone else heard of people already getting decision letters?

A friend of mine said he knows someone who already got it, but it was a deferral. I guess that’s good if you haven’t gotten a decision yet.

umm the only way i know of is if not all ur forms are in.

didnt want to start a new thread but today i was just thinking about a lot of things and how all of you are such wonderful people and if you get in that would be the reason and if you don’t get in that won’t change who you are. but i’m not so wonderful. and over the months i’ve come to convince myself that going to one specific college would change my life for the better
yeah it sounds kinda silly.
it’s been a rough day.

Has anyone else heard of people already getting decision letters?

A friend of mine said he knows someone who already got it, but it was a deferral. I guess that’s good if you haven’t gotten a decision yet.

How is this possible?

I’m guessing that person just got weeded out of the pile earlier on; moreover, if you haven’t gotten a response, then you’re still in contention for admission.

I’m guessing that I don’t really believe things people say about what they “heard from a friend.”

With the exception of likely letters, everyone’s mail/email is sent out on the same day.

I know. That’s exactly what I was thinking, justforgetme.
