Harvard rescinded the acceptance based on hateful rhetoric made by this kid two years ago. My politics are quite different than his but I feel Harvard is in the wrong here. Statement made which were not intended to be used to bully or harm or intimidate others ( this wasn’t name calling ) is different than speaking in a stupid and disgusting way privately among like minded others. Especially when this occurred years ago. Given his past Kid should have applied to Stanford which can’t legally do this.
@doschicos. Ok. But I think that there is value in school specific threads which really should involve posters who are going or applying to Harvard and have interests that others don’t at stake AND general larger discussions of the principles at issue in these occurrences. It’s up to the moderator of course.
