I know Harvard has a radio station, I haven’t applied yet, but I want to know: How hard is it to become a disk jockey/host of a time slot?

As in just a small talk show (minimalistic, jokes, etc…), but mostly host a music hour.

Any thing similar for Yale, Princeton, Stanford?

Side question: How hard is it to join the Harvard Lampoon?

Though you do have to “comp” the radio station, it is not difficult to join and host a time slot after a semester. Some departments of the radio are a bit more competitive than others.

Thanks. I think I can do it. My friends say I have a good radio voice and a decent wit. So thank you!

Wow, that’s depressing. Most of the music blocks are Classical and Jazz.

While I do enjoy Classical and Jazz, that is just domineering. I’ll change that.

record hospital plays indie stuff & the darker side plays hip hop. they’re both way too underground/eclectic/hipper than thou for my tastes…
