My checklist is still there…does that mean anything?
@frkngtnb8 I’m pretty sure everyone’s checklist is still there seeing as Harvard hasn’t sent out an email saying that they’re removing them
lmao i don’t know what to expect… deferred SCEA, but got into Stanford this past week and MIT two weeks ago. college admissions are an enigma
@bearcon dam that’s sick congrats! Did you make much changes to your app since applying SCEA?
Hey friends!! Can’t believe “Ivy Day” is in two days!! Make sure to wear your crimson on Thursday, just for a little bit of luck. Congrats to you all, and ¡que será, será! :-*
Do you think being deferred with a 3.2 GPA and a 1500/2400 on the SAT is a good sign? I could’ve easily been put in the rejection pile but I wasn’t.
@amoore001 It is a good sign, but your odds are still long: those stats are low, and, because over three quarters of SCEA applicants are deferred, the acceptance chances for them are very low.
Good luck, though!
Thank you
MIT deferred me with low stats and then rejected me RD. It happens, I guess. But you could also end up being accepted. No one here can tell.
What were your stats?
GPA higher, SAT lower. @amoore001 That’s pretty much all I’m able/willing to share.
@XoXdreamerXoX I have a lot of achievements outside of the class room. And my achievements are really rare for an underprivileged black male. Are you a URM?
Yeah, but remember that there is a threshold in the SAT, once you past that 2100+ SAT, it doesn’t matter as much anymore.
@amoore001 yes. Hispanic female in STEM (physics).
@XoXdreamerXoX That’s awesome. I really wish you good luck, I know you’ll do great things in life no matter where you go to college.
@amoore001 Thank you! Same goes for you! Good luck Thursday.
@Wendelstein not really haha… i did paraphrase some things but the material was the same i guess. i did get STS semis over break so that may have helped
Has harvard sent out emails ann0ouncing the official decision release time ???
@amoore001 did u get an intrview or are you international
Oh man, collegeconfidential lacks one feature. i.e to pin a post. This thread has around 24 people asking for decisions date and time w/o going through past replies to this thread. That’s okay after-all no new comer is willing to read all 99*15 comments. Therefore a PIN Post facility is required.
