Harvard requirments ??

hello! this is sid and i am from india
i am a national player (shot put , discus , cricket ) and i also play basket ball , volley ball , badminton for my school!
I scored a gpa of 3.9/4 (10th grade) 4/4 (11th grade)
i was the leader of my school (4000 students)
i have taken part in many social activities
i would probaly score 750+ ( chemistry, math , physics subject test )
but i am a little scared about my english skills (sat reasoning ) How much is the minimum marks i could get in sat reasoning test to get into harvard ?? my family’s finacial status is bad . below 10000$ (annually) i have a strong teacher’s recommdation .

Unless you give more detailed information, we can’t say anything about your chance to get in.

To be safe, 700 in reading section will waive Toefl requirement in all us schools.

Any Ivy League has no set ‘minimum’ but you need to score extremely high 750+ to even be competitive. Also your English could use work… especially for Harvard…

While it’s good to be a national player, many(not too many though) student will have some equivalent to such thing.

Are you a good essay writer?

Admission to Harvard is brutally competitive, especially for international students, and even more especially for Indian applicants - there are just too many brilliant kids applying for too few slots. It sounds as if you are an outstanding student, but you will need some actual test results.

Learn to spell " requirments" properly

whoah no need to be unnecessarily mean.
but yeah, improve your English.

@ssssssssss - I agree, you should work to improve your written English or else you will seriously hurt any chances you might have at highly selective schools such as Harvard.

You state you are a national player. This would generally be understood to mean you are playing for the national team - i.e. competing for India in international competitions. If your discus and shot put results are competitive, it’s possible that colleges in the US would be interested in you as a recruited athlete, assuming your academic credentials are strong enough. Many colleges offer athletic scholarships. The Ivy League schools do not, but your family’s financial situation would make you eligible for full need-based scholarships if you are accepted.

I have heard that SAT wouldnt effect that much because of high GPA and subject test scores ( on youtube ) is that true
<a href=“GPA VS SAT. What is more important - Tip - YouTube”>GPA VS SAT. What is more important - Tip - YouTube;

@BldrDad‌ Thank you pal! i’ll take care of the writting part !

The video you linked points out that you still need SAT scores of 2100-2200, which is true. But that’s still a big effect, and scores like that are not easy.

…WHAT?

SAT doesn’t affect that much?

You might say that only if you have high scores(2200+) and compete with others who have similar high scores AND Gpa.
