Guys, I’m expecting a deferral I’ve actually changed my fears a little bit. Last week, I was an emotional mess haha. But after the teacher rec situation, evaluating my life (cheesey as that sounds), etc I realized that being deferred isn’t all that bad. Besides, I’m a Massachusetts native and haven’t ventured out that much. It would be cool to go out of state for college, and then perhaps try again for graduate/medical school. And remember, it’s not what college you go to but what you do in college that counts!
Guys, friend of my sons called admissions office this morning. Thursday is not a sure thing from what they said. And, if they don’t post more info in the portal today, it may be Friday or even Monday. More waiting is possible, but it’ll be here before Christmas!
Oh. No.
Do they send out an official email specifying the date?
In the past they have
It’s not true. I just called Harvard Admission office and they confirmed the EA decisions will be released this Thursday at 5:00 PM.
@Kukreke Did they say any words to signify the possibility of it being changed?
No, not at all. The lady who answered my call said Thursday at 5 is final.
Okay, so did anyone read that article @goldenmaster posted? What do you guys think?
My friend promised to buy me dinner if I didn’t get in; I had to buy her dinner if I got in.
Looks like she’s buying me dinner
@Sajidur4 I somewhat agree with the article. I mean, the argument makes sense. Different people could have spikes in different arenas, making them unique.
Well-rounded, by definition, is less unique, the way the article puts it.
@orionsagittarius That’s true, but I’m confused because I don’t know whether I am a spike or a well-rounded… I guess the admissions office will decide that.
@GrapePocky you got in?
@GrapePocky i d ove to buy my friend dinner if i was in your situation. I promised my entire group of friends dinner. Looks like will be rejected or broke
Lol oops, I meant to say that she will buy me dinner… cuz I’m not getting in!
I’m so worried.
AGHHHHHH
Omg don’t know who to believe on when admissions decisions come out. On one hand multiple people have asked and they have confirmed it. On the other, Harvard has not released an official statement saying that.
@tuty143 I called the admissions office for an unrelated topic, about my college transcripts. At the end, he said that the decisions will be released on Thursday.
