@smollhuman I am applying to UChicago if I am deferred — I love it too! Unfortunately their econ program is pretty conservative/pretty focused on finance. For development econ specifically, it’s Harvard, Columbia or bust.
@expertiger I don’t know much about Duke, never really considered the South. What are your favorite things about it? I don’t think it’s the best fit for an LGBT liberal but you never know 
Obviously college areas are typically liberal anywhere

Also, advice. My next decision comes at 1AM my time on Thursday. So I either stay up Wednesday night and allow myself to sleep on it or wake up to it on Thursday. Don’t typically like waking up to these things because they take some time to process/I’d rather not process during a calc test that I have that morning, but I’m kind of undecided still…

I know it would be super hard but I say wait until after the calc test. Obviously you would be stressed and kindof thinking about it but finding out that news would just distract you all day, good or bad. So I would wait a little bit, if you can bear it haha.
