Harvard SCEA Class of 2020 Applicant Thread

I just wish they would tell us now so I could actually focus on studying for my finals

Just checking in from the Yale SCEA thread! Meanwhile, they don’t release until the 15th haha

Since it appears we are going through schedules…

Tonight : write a final essay that is due tonight for college English course, begin writing a program for college Java course that is due tomorrow, study for AP Bio 2 test for tomorrow (probably skip this one)

Tomorrow: get to school 40 minutes early to run through Christmas play that our student council is putting on, take Bio 2 test, run lights and sound for Christmas play, get 6 corn dogs from sonic Bc it’s 50 cent corn dog day. Go home. Finish programming project, begin and turn in another programming assignment. Pray that I sleep.

Thursday: worry all day about decisions. About an hour before decisions are released, cram in an SUV and drive 2 hours to academic team meet. At that point it will be about 4:15. Then I decide if I want to open my decision before or after the meet. I’m thinking after.

Just a normal busy week :frowning:

This post contains nothing meaningful in content. I just want to be the first person to break 200 pages.

EDIT: Darnit.

Anyone feel like we they are going to throw up because I feel like I’m about to puke?

so close to 200

200??? Ayy

I relate so much to the stress eating… I had 3 pieces of pizza and tomato soup for dinner and now i want to eat ice cream and go to sleep

honestly i would almost rather be outright rejected than deferred because at least with rejection, you for sure know where you stand. deferral is like the void where there’s this super slim chance that you could still be accepted but like this incredibly high chance of rejection

I just want to be accepted so that I don’t have to write the essays for 10 other ivies if don’t get in.

Hey guys! I’ve been lurking for a while now but good luck to all of you!

@dancingflute good luck to you too! did you also apply early?

@archaeologygirl I totally agree. I have some college stuff due December 15th that I won’t need to send in if I’m accepted to Harvard. It’d be amazing to not have to do a ton of extra work

@WTylerL if you don’t mind me asking what is due December 15? Actual apps or just supplemental stuff?

@tuty143 Yup! I really want to know if I got in but I also don’t ugh

@gracie21 you just described my daily meals LOL

@archaeologygirl … Whole heartedly disagree; atleast in my case

I knew that when I applied SCEA, the components of my app were great, aside from one objective factor… Now that I got deferred, I know that if i improve that… I’ll get in…

Have your GC, (this didnt happen with me, my GC doesn’t know how to do her job) call Harvard (if you get deferred), and ask the AO to give your GC the rundown…

Remember, this is Harvard, “good” doesn’t cut it

@pubkid mainly just scholarship applications to colleges- U of Alabama, Vanderbilt, and maybe a few others.

@verizonwireless you can change your application after you are deferred?

AH less than two days!
