Harvard SCEA Class of 2020 Applicant Thread

anyone from MA?!?! :slight_smile:

I keep on picturing a small group of people continuing this conversation – and occassionally a random person pops in. THEN occassionally a random person pops in to ask about the date of the decision, and a select few people sigh and AGAIN let he/she know. Said person leaves the room and small group of people continue conversation.

@WTylerL I’m from AL!

JUST A SUGGESTION – said group of people should create a google doc and share their favorite parts of their app (essays in particular)

@vhhs2016 Nice!! Hope to see a few AL kids get in ED.

@CambridgeGal98 Lived in Boston for the summer, looooved it. Hence applying to Harvard early :wink:

@sc00bie I will be hastily moving to your country if trump wins the presidency

@aharper98 who do you consider to be part of that small group of people?
I think that sounds like a great idea!

I CANT BELIEVE ITS TOMORROW YOU GUYS IM SO NERVOUS

@cheerleader16 hang in there we can do it !!

@flautamagica the few of you that have been on here since when I joined – which was about half a month ago. And especially have kept up and gotten to be such good friends – I’ve tried not to check TOO much because it stressed me out but I’ve always sifted through the wonderful conversations people such as yourself and @schroscat and @pubkid have… not to leave anyone out.

Representing Washington State. No, not Seattle. Rural WA. :frowning: then again, at least I don’t live in Kansas. I hate Kansas.

I’m just going to quote my supplement here…I’m too damn essay for technological apps.

“I was always the student who was nominated for the programs that promised a week-long camp for nerdy kids who wanted to be in medicine or the future leaders of America.”

“we both shared a love for the sciences that, from an outside perspective, seemed rather odd; we talked about giving our children suture kits for their birthdays while we let them sit in on our surgeries.”

“and it seemed like the heavens were sending me a sign that my childhood dream would finally come true.”

"Finally, November rolled around, and being the overachiever I am, I had my notebook, pen, and I totally know what I’m doing face ready for the Congress. "

“It was past eleven o’clock, and my peers and I were considerably tired from the entire day’s worth of activities; I was rather sure I would either pass out or need some sort of energy supplement to keep myself sane. (The irony was that the food court sold some energy drinks…at a medical conference!)”

“and then there was the whole neurotransmitter aspect of it, and no matter how many songs I had memorized by heart to satisfy my curiosity about the brain”

“I found her memoir in the library and devoured it. Using my expansive peripheral vision that I developed from marching band, I read her memoir as I was walking down the halls. I read it when I should have been reading The Great Gatsby in literature class, and I read it when I probably should have been doing homework.”

“Medicine is a beautiful art that requires a lot of preparation, and I learned that although the process will be extremely daunting, perhaps perpetually complete with ramen dinners, the end result will make it all worth the effort.”

EDIT: Too damn LAZY*

imagine if tomorrow is when Harvard sends out the email telling us that we will get our results on the 13th instead…like imagine if they decided to troll us and it was just a notification we are getting tomorrow, not the decisions :smiley:

@schroscat I like it!!

Dropping by from the Yale 2020 thread. Good luck to everyone! So jealous you all find out 5 days earlier than Yale :frowning:

@expertiger I let the sass come through in the supplement. Thank you!

@Kasami Thank you! Good luck to you as well! :slight_smile:

I will be at debate practice after school, so I will not open up my decision till 8-9pm EST. However, I will be checking this thread to see if y’all wonderful people got in!
