@lilypippili “Y’ALL!!” WHERE R U FROM?!?!
@lanflan All that is left is to glorify In-n-out, the beaches, and Hollywood.
I think the 405 is hell.
@aharper98 Massachusetts LOL
I’m actually being pretty productive. I’m blocking my speech piece!
My friend with a 21 ACT and sub 3.0 GPA told me today that he, too, could get into Harvard if he were Native American. Yep, those are the kind of friends I have hahahahaha
@lilypippili You had me excited for a second. Anyone else from the south? (GA Particularly)
My calc teacher today told me she wrote me the best rec she’s ever written. How important are recommendations?
I have finals next week, but I just started watching the Flash on netflix… There goes my studying
@aharper98 Ahhh sorry for the disappointment!! My cousin goes to college in kentucky if that helps…
@expertiger fairly important I think, probably the same level as your own essays
@lilypippili Would you say you…reacted poorly to that happening?
@pioneer16 that mentality pisses me off. No. Minorities get in on their own merits. No one was ever admitted because they were hispanic but had a 19 act. Sorry you have to go through that
The end of my essay :
“I feel like Harvard is the right fit for me. I am excited to collaborate with other academically driven students to achieve common goals. The partnerships made with fellow classmates will be powerful and innovative. I feel that I am academically qualified to study at Harvard, and my desire to learn will be unleashed on a wealth of knowledge that only Harvard can offer. I am going t make an impact on this world, and I hope that Harvard will be willing to invest in me.”
Hope it’s good enough to get me in!
@Drewwwfoo In N Out is good but overrated. But being two blocks away at all times from a pho shop, ramen house, and Mexican hole in the wall? now THAT is underrated
Any advice for getting the decision/ surviving tomorrow? I can’t deal w the next 19 hours
Yeah recs are probably really important especially for Harvard that really emphasizes character and personality. I got one of my recs from my sophomore English teacher who I call mom or by her first name. I’ve taken pictures with her family and they unofficially adopted me into their family. She recently just had a baby and I already told her that I pronounce myself as the baby’s sister/godmother
Has anyone else attended a program at Harvard and gotten a rec from a Harvard professor?
I’m going to be at a Swim Meet tomorrow until like 9:30. Should I check when I get home or at the meet?
Hey guys! So I’m applying RD, but since I know that SCEA decisions come out tomorrow (and I’ve been lurking around this thread for a while) I wanted to wish you all good luck
@Kasey112 (and everyone else) Breathe. There’s nothing you can do about the decisions now, and whatever happens, you’ll end up somewhere great, whether that’s Harvard or not.
