@schroscat that would be soooo fun. I’ve been thinking if I’m lucky enough to get into Harvard I wanna set up a sort of flute choir to play on the street for money (Lord knows I’m gonna need it!)
What does it mean if you don’t get an interview?
@flautamagica I’ll be the first to join (even though I’m not getting in, haha)
@sc00bie it means nothing just that there were many applicants with not enough alumni to interview all of them. Since you say you are recruited athlete and the coach even put a word in, I think you are pretty set. Tbh a coach’s say in your case probably ha more weight than the average alumni
@QueenN22 thanks so much! maybe now I can sleep better at night LOL
Does anyone else play the violin?
@goldenmaster I play the manly violin, otherwise known as the viola.
Where is everyone else looking for Regular Decisions etc?
@sc00bie NEU, BU, BC, SBU, Yale, Columbia, and Tufts.
@sc00bie If I get into Harvard, only UChicago, JHU BME and Columbia. I love UofC and all it stands for. Why does it get so little love?
If I don’t get into Harvard, well, I am an int’l so I have to cast a wide net : Princeton, Chicago, Brown, Vanderbilt, Rice, Johns Hopkins, Cornell, Columbia, Hamilton, Harvey Mudd, Grinnel, Middlebury, Swarthmore, Macalester, and maybe Duke, plus my safety schools which are Louisiana tech and Troy.
fortunately, I get fee waivers everywhere…
Checking CC while at my school’s holiday Bazaar
Did any of you guys apply to UC schools?
Also @QueenN22 your post about complimenting each other- I think thats an awesome idea!!
@sc00bie Yale, UChicago, Stanford, MIT, Columbia, Duke, Hopkins.
I don’t mind doing extra essays and the $75 isn’t a high price to pay considering the potential benefits, so I’m going with all the reach schools that I think I’d be happy at
First of all, thank you to everyone for the kind words. Second, I love this group. So supportive, so informative, so diverse, and most importantly so kind. Third, @QueenN22 That is a wonderful idea and lets plan it. No negativity, but only building each other up. And fourth, I just took the SAT and I feel confident about it
@tuty143 I hope you do well.
I am applying to Stanford, Princeton and Yale RD.
I already applied to UCLA and Berkely, though I already know that I won’t be able to afford the OOS tuition. But I applied anyway, just to see if I get in.
And what is $70 against an acceptance letter? I mean, I already wrote the ACT and SAT 2s, so why not make the best of it?
If I don’t get in any of these schools I will just have to study medicine here in Germany… (which isn’t that bad as there is no tuition, a medical degree only requires seven years and most German universities are excellent)
Applying to Yale/Columbia/Stanford whether or not I get in. Already applied to Berkeley. If I don’t get in… all the other Ivies hahahah (and Northwestern/UChicago!)
Do you think decisions would ever be posted before the tenth? Would they come out before Thursday?
