@karakoram The reference is necessary, even though I didn’t put the dashes. *flashes back to when I learned how to pronounce it: At Anneanne’s house; she sits me down. “Yegenim, cok kolay: bismillah…”
Me: “bishmilla”
Anneanne: “Hayir. Bir daha…”
@schroscat SO YA
THOUGHT YA
MIGHT LIKE TO GO TO THE SHOW
TO FEEL THE WARM THRILL OF CONFUSION
THAT SPACE CADET GLOW
TELL ME IS SOMETHING ELUDING YOU SUNSHINE
IS THIS NOT WHAT YOU EXPECTED TO SEE???
IF YA WANNA FIND OUT WHAT’S BEHIND THESE COLD EYES
YOU’LL JUST HAVE TO CLAW YOUR WAY THROUGH THIS DISGUISE!
@Barcelona17 The 75th percentile for each individual section (math, writing, cr) is 800, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that the 75th percentile for the whole exam is 2400. 2350 seems more accurate.
OH LET THE SUN BEAT DOWN UPON MY FACE, STARS TO FILL MY DREAM
I AM A TRAVELLER OF BOTH TIME AND SPACE, TO BE WHERE I HAVE BEEN
TO SIT WITH ELDERS OF THE GENTLE RACE, THIS WORLD HAS SELDOM SEEN
THEY TALK OF DAYS FOR WHICH THEY SIT AND WAIT, ALL WILL BE REVEALED
AND AS WE WIND ON DOWN THE ROAD
OUR SHADOWS TALLER THAN OUR SOUL
THERE WALKS A LADY WE ALL KNOW
WHO SHINES WHITE LIGHT AND WANTS TO SHOW
HOW EVERYTHING STILL TURNS TO GOLD
AND IF YOU LISTEN VERY HARD
THE TUNE WILL COME TO YOU AT LAST
WHEN ALL ARE ONE AND ONE IS ALL
TO BE A ROCK AND NOT TO ROLLLLLLLL
Something that I noticed, correct me if im wrong, but Harvard admits all of the High SAT, international champs, athletes, basically “untouchables” in the EA round… And all of the “well rounded” individuals in the RD round… thats why so many high sat/gpa individuals get rejected RD. Thoughts?
@verizonwireless “well rounded” as in not a perfect SAT score but a very good student. She had a 2190 SAT and a 4.0/4.0. She was an awesome applicant. She didn’t have an international acclaim but a regional/state one in a science fair. It just shows that the admissions process is unpredictable.
