Harvard Students and IQ Scores?

why some people still enjoy life and get into Harvard easily but some struggle real hard but finally failed?

i think there should be a close relationship between IQ and Harvard students?

what is average IQ of harvard students?

it would be useful for everybody measure their IQ and making more accurate plan for college

IQtest.dk, i got 133, on mensa level, dont know if it’s enough for Harvard

if you got into harvard , what’s your IQ :D

i’m asking because i’m wondering am i smart enough to do this :((

The IQ score isn’t the important issue.

[Books on IQ Tests and Human Intelligence (Learn in Freedom)](Books on IQ Tests and Human Intelligence (Learn in Freedom))

Harvard has an admissions web section, like any college these days, and you can use it

to see Harvard’s description of what admissions criteria it considers and how it considers them. See also the current version of the Harvard viewbook,

which is more specific about a few issues, perhaps because it is updated more often.

College admissions aren’t decided upon intelligence, but diligence.

I’d say that while natural intelligence really helps and gives you a boost, that alone won’t get you in 99% of the time (I can’t say 100% because I know a friend’s brother that was pure genius and got into Harvard with minimal effort).

People who are “good enough” to be admitted to top universities and LACs have IQs in the 130s range, I’ve found. This is an average–of course there are radical deviations.

the guy with the highest IQ in the world (not stephen hawkings) lives in a trailer park and is currently writing a theory about everything… that tells u something about this whole IQ crap…

i got 148 by the way…

I must be an idiot or something XD lol~ (110-125, reporting)

I took some online test for fun one time and got a 140. I doubt it was very accurate. I would recommend not bringing it up once you get here though, even talking about SAT scores is considered pretty sad and pathetic once you get here. At least with the people I know.

IMO, the kid who works hard and gets A’s should be admitted over the smart but lazy student who gets similar grades.

Talking about class rank, IQ, SAT, or anything of the sort at Harvard will likely leave you ostracized.

there are 3 standard deviation in IQ : 15 16 24.
i dont know what’s the diffrent but i think it’s the length of the straight line between the IQ bell curve
example 130 in sd 15 but it’s 132 in 16 and 148 in 24

top IQ 130+ is top 2%

i’m wondering about IQ of harvard student, it’s curiousity :D

140+ in sd 15 is kind of genius

are all harvard student genius ?

why talking about IQ is not good in HV?

Because almost everyone who goes to Harvard is very smart, everyone knows that. The point needs no introduction. No one cares how you scored on some test, whether it be the SAT or IQ. The only thing people want to know is what your doing in your life at the present. People will be terribly more impressed if you’re working with inner city youth on the weekend then if you have an IQ scored of 145. I can’t even imagine someone bringing that up at Harvard, though maybe that just has to do with my friends.

:)
i knew that.

is it any outstanding yet?
or what should i do more?

haha I got a 108… I must be stupid. Then again, I did take the test in 16 minutes at 11:00 right before falling asleep… maybe that had a small influence lol. I guess there’s no harvard for me though! ;)

One of my good friends scored a 145 on an official test and was rejected.

Mine is 162. Oh well.

I didn’t bother to take any sort of IQ test. I like to think that says something about my intelligence anyway.

i read on harvard main site and they said there was a research about the relationship between IQ and creative… average IQ of harvard students is 130

IQ is helpful but only needed when you aim super high( like winning nobel prize or shotting down the sun, etc)
