<p>So Harvard wants us to send in our decision of whether or not we want to remain on the waitlist by May 25th</p>
<p>Yeah…do you guys still have any hope left? I’m going to remain on the list but I basically am treating waitlist as rejection.</p>
<p>being an eternal optimist, I still have hope left, because I know harvard has the best program for me and so I have to hope that I will get in. But I’m also getting excited about my new school, because otherwise I would be hopelessly depressed if I didn’t get off the wait list (which is a distinct possiblility…not getting off the WL I mean)</p>
<p>does anybody know approximately how many people harvard put on the WL?</p>
<p>It looks like a lot. Is waitlisted the new deferred? What I’d like to know is around how many people they might accept. Last year was 2-3 (I read earlier) so maybe this year 1 or 2???</p>

<p>some of the accepted students were admitted for the fall, and some for the spring…about 50/50</p>

<p>I was accepted from the waitlist last week, got a call from Harvard informing me of my admission, and today I received the formal admissions package in the mail.</p>
<p>I never expected to get off the waitlist, so it has been a very exciting couple of days. :-)</p>

<p>the woman who called me on the phone last week said that “the committee voted to offer me admission” and she wanted to know if i was interested in attending so that she could send me the formal admissions package.</p>
<p>it wasn’t a call to gauge my interest, the words used were that i was definitely admitted. i said i was extremely interested in going, so she sent the package and i just received it and sent in my reply form to let them know i am attending.</p>
