This might be a silly question, but…

How can you make the Harvard seal appear on facebook when you add Harvard University down as your college? For some reason, it leaves me with a blank picture next to Harvard. I know this isn’t a big deal, but I want to have a picture beside the Harvard to make it look more official.
It’s weird because some Harvard students have a picture of the seal and others don’t. And a side note, all other colleges have photos (Princeton, Duke, etc.)

Thanks in advance! Class of 2015!

HAHA! Something is preventing people who are adding Harvard to their education now from putting it up. 2 weeks ago this was not an issue. Are you part of the Harvard Class of 2015 facebook group? We have found a way to put the actual seal there by getting someone who has it to list you as a classmate. Get yourself to the group and make the request. I’m sure It’ll be done within a minute! Alternatively you could ask someone who you have seen with the seal to do the same! :)

If you’ve received your @college email, then changing your email address on Facebook may also work.

That is to join the harvard network. We tried doing that as well but we were unsuccessful! :)

I think you need to have friends who attend the university (aka classmates or upperclassmen) before the seal shows for you. I had about 5 Harvardian friends and the logo showed right away. Alternatively, just get someone who has the seal to “tag” you in their education and then remove you. You should have it after that. Hope that helps!

This trick works with the employer section, and I’d assume it works for education as well.

If you’re using Firefox, download the WebDeveloper App (you can find it through a Google search).

Go to “edit” your profile.

Type a random letter into the Education slot, and pick any of the universities from the drop-down box.

Go to “Forms” on your WebDeveloper App (it’ll be above the tabs on your browser) and click on “Display Form Details.”

Go back down to the Education slot. Find the boxes that say . Remove any numbers that might already be there and instead put in 105930651606. This is the ID of the official Harvard Facebook page.

Click save changes, and Harvard University (with logo) should appear under Education.

It sounds voodooish but it works well, if not wholly consistently. Give it a couple of tries.

EDIT: Just tried it on my page and got it on my second try. Definitely works for both education and work experiences.

The easier way is simply to have someone who is already part of the network tag you, then untag them. You will have the seal.
