Hi, I’ve decided that I’m matriculating to Harvard, however I’ve recently been invited to attend the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizadry. I’m extremely conflicted and I guess my final decision comes between living in the muggle world or studying with some of the world’s brightest wizards. Please help?

Both are fine schools. You won’t lack snobbery in either place.

Hogwarts is better known for the individual attention students get, but Harvard definitely offers way more classes and majors. I haven’t seen the common data set for Hogwarts, but I’m pretty sure that Harvard’s SAT 25th-75th percentile numbers are better. Harvard also has produced more Rhodes scholars and Nobel laureates.

Both schools have quidditich teams but Harvard has pretty good (for the Ivy League) basketball and football teams too while Hogwarts has none.

Harvard, most definitely. Hogwarts has too much diversity and switches Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher much too often to get a consistent education, however if you insist on getting a first rate magical education, Beauxbaton’s or Durmstrang is a great experience. (Durmstrang is known for their exceptional Quidditch team)
