Harvard vs. Penn

So, excluding Wharton, how would you compare Harvard and Penn?

I believe Harvard cranks out more i-bankers.

Than Wharton or Penn the college?

Both.

Yes. Harvard doesn’t have an “official” business program but from what I hear from friends who have gone/been accepted to both Wharton and Harvard, Wharton is more “finance” based I suppose while Harvard leans more towards making connections, consulting work, ibanking, etc.

Also, in what area are you comparing Harvard vs. Penn? Are you referring to the School of Arts and Sciences when you’re referring to “Penn the College”? I mean both are in very urban environments, Boston is colder I think, the people at both will be amazing, but for liberal arts or politics, I’d definitely go to Harvard > Penn’s “College of Arts and Sciences.”

I guess I meant excluding the academics. I’m sure they’re both wonderful institutions. I mean more the overall environment. Comparing Philadelphia and Cambridge/Boston, do the kids seem happy, school spirit, a lot of diversity… that kind of stuff.

Penn has more greek life, and more students living off campus.
