Your D can send a letter of continued interest (email is fine) – in this she can note any new accomplishments/awards since the application, affirm her desire to attend Harvard (if appropriate she can write “if accepted I will attend”), note anything she particularly likes about Harvard and/or something special she feels she can add to campus life etc. It is most effective if this is kept short and sweet.
Even with such a letter the chances are quite slim to get off of the Harvard waitlist. After the letter of continued interest is set then put Harvard out of your minds and proceed to choose a school from her acceptances and assume that is where she will end up. Good luck.
