Hi, I’m interested in going to Harvey Mudd. I understand they have a great CS program, but do they have any options for someone interested in cybersecurity?
Cybersecurity isn’t their greatest strength. Topics are covered in some of the classes, and you get an amazing overall CS education. But I don’t think there are any specific cybersecurity courses, and I don’t think any of the profs are specializing in that as a research topic. You could check the other 5Cs and see if any of them are offering any cybersecurity courses, though, because you can cross register.
Carnegie Mellon, UCSB, Univ of Maryland College Park and Purdue have strong programs in cyber security with in the computer science departments. You may look in to those if interested in cyber security.
