<p>For Mudd students who turned down HYPSM, what has your experience been like? Have you ever regretted choosing Mudd over big name schools?</p>

<p>Harvey Mudd is a name small school. It is well known by anyone who knows anything about colleges. My nephew attributes his success to having gotten the personal attention a school like Harvey Mudd offers, and the bigger schools don’t. You don’t have to fight to get opportunities. Small classes and personal attention makes a huge difference for some students. I realize that this answer is too late for the op but hopefully may benefit others with the same question. </p>
<p>Yes, too late for this poster. My kid turned down some higher ranked schools for fit. She went to accepted student days at Mudd and her other top choices, and realized that she would be happiest at Mudd. She believes now that she chose well, and is glad she didn’t pick the other schools.</p>
