That doesn’t sound like something that some states would make illegal? Not a felony, necessarily, but I illegal for sure.
Tony Goldwyn has said that he was sexually harassed as a young actor.
Another one bites the dust: (Leon Wieseltier, formerly of the New Republic, and years of sexual harassment).
Wieseltier’s alleged offenses were less bad than the others, yet bad enough. Good riddance.
Clearly, he’s a better writer than the others:

Right! Since HW, my computer has been hacked a number of times. I think it’s from visit HW related website. Isn’t it saying something?
K, what is a “shaken apology”?
@“Cardinal Fang” Who gets to say what is “deviant”? I can well imagine it being used to prosecute gays. And there are certainly those who find sex in public places where they are at risk of being discovered exciting. Not what I would call a crime, unless they are exposing themselves to children or something.
“Deviate sexual intercourse”, if used in laws, should have a definition in the laws.
Flashers also get sexual excitement from the reactions of the people who see them, but they should not involve me in their sexual excitement without my consent, which I don’t grant. That’s what’s objectionable about flashers, and equally objectionable about people who insist on having sex in public.
The “deviant” sexual intercourse is a quote from a general survey of state laws. I assume different states define deviancy in different ways.
Whoa, not defending flashers!
I would certainly agree that actually having sex in public, unless the witnesses have consented to watch, is at the very least extremely rude.
In any case, I assume that we’re agreed that Toback’s alleged habits of nonconsensual frottage are a felony in NY and ought to be?

This is just ridiculous imo.
What next, Stephen Hawking’s nurses saying they’ve been assaulted?
George HW Bush has apologized to the actress. “Attempt at humor”…
I would imagine he accidentally touched her when they were lining up for a picture, and made a crack about it.
A 93 year old man in a wheelchair, posing for a picture with his wife. I suppose the actress is dying to say, “Me too,” and get a little publicity out of it.
If everything is offensive, nothing is offensive.
Agreed.
A second woman has now accused George H W Bush. I wonder if he is suffering some sort of dementia and has lost some of his social control.
But no, of course these women must be lying. 8-|
Interesting how Mika addressed the Halperin allegations on Morning Joe this morning. She referred to him as ‘our friend’ and did not use words like sexual assault, and seemed to make a point that whatever occurred happened over a decade ago. It was not a defense of him, but certainly not an incrimination as she had done for Cosby, Weinstein etc.
I like Mark Halperin very much, but I certainly don’t approve of his behavior. I’m glad he’s taking a leave. Rich, poor; young, old; Republican, Democrat, Independent – they all do it. No man who harasses or abuses women is exempt from people’s wrath even if we happen to like his politics.
