Has anyone ACCEPTED called UCSD to know how many points they got?

Just curious.

If so, how did you go about doing so, and what was your experience?

I’ve tried and it seems that they don’t tell you if you got accepted. But you may want to try this rubric from 2004 (should still be relevant) to estimate your score
[UCSD Freshman Comprehensive Review Process (Dec 2004)](UCSD Freshman Comprehensive Review Process (Dec 2004))

Can someone explain how UCI makes its decisions? (point system like UCSD?) My son has been accepted to UCSD and was rejected by UCI. Not sure what to make of it. (And I’m really not sure what to make of him being waitlisted by Pepperdine. If anything, I thought UCSD was a huge stretch and that he pretty much had “textbook Pepperdine student” written all over his application…)

^ Probably had sub-par essays (UCSD does not consider essays for quality)
Wouldn’t dwell on it if I were you, seeing as UCSD is better than UCI, and I don’t know much about Pepperdine to comment on it, but if it is a LAC, then the two are uncomparable.
