I am a transfer student filling out the common app. When I hit “manage recommendations” under the My Colleges tab, I fill out all of my professor’s info (correctly) and hit “Add Recommender.” However, something odd appears in the table below that lists all of the registered recommenders - My professor is listed as having my last name. For example, say my name is Joey White, and my Professsor is John Doe. Instead of listing him as the correct “John Doe,” he is listed as “John White.” I really have no clue what the problem could be. I have tried different browsers, but nothing seems to work. The only thing that does keep his name intact is not putting in his email address, though that is not of very much use. Has anyone else encountered this? Any help would be appreciated.
