Just wondering if anyone has EVER been accepted (first person accounts please) if they weren’t asked to do anything new with their songs or monologues. My S just did his material once through and was done. He wasn’t asked to change anything and he was only seen by one person. This was an on-campus audition. Would like to know if there is ANY chance they just liked what they saw or if they don’t work with you, that’s a definite “no”
Critical question- was that one person Barbara?
Unfortunately, no!
I have never heard a “success” story from CMU that didn’t involve seeing Barbara…
Has anyone ever heard a “success” story that just involved seeing Gary and Barbara?
You see Barbara, then get passed to Gary. You see Don for the monologue.
Because of the blizzard at Chicago Unifieds, people only saw Gary for singing and Barbara for monologues. There was nobody else there. Seems to have changed the normal process.
Thanks @hatewaiting that is where my S auditioned. Just for fun what do you think you would do if Gary calls you?
Hahaha. Something pretty dramatic!
Kaf was at Chicago on Wednesday for sure. That’s when my S auditioned.
Agreed. Kaf, Gary, and Barbara were all at Chicago Unifieds. It may be possible that Kaf was held up by the weather for the earliest of auditions, but by the time my D auditioned, she was there and part of the group presentation.
Kaf was present beginning Tuesday morning. She was not there on Monday.
Not unifieds but at CMU campus, what was the situation? If you saw Barbara, then Gary, were you passed to Don then someone else?
