Has anyone given up?

I’ve decided that based on those stats in the results thread, the decision process is 50% academics, 30% extracurriculars, essays, and recs, and 20% pure luck. I don’t know how I’ll be lucky with my handwriting on my application, so I’m bracing myself for a deferral.

It’s got to be an awful feeling though…

i’d weigh the factors otherwise…

its 50% luck- depends on if your app sounds good and the adcom is happy.

25% each to acads and other stuff (essays, recos, ecs etc.) because ppl with great acads have been rejected…

I’ve given up lol

Yup, me too!

Don’t give up. If you get deferred, which is the most likely outcome, you still have a chance to go to Princeton. It’ll be like applying RD, with the added perk of a greater admissions rate (for deferred people).

Yeah I know.
But I give up in general.
Hopefully, I can make it to at least one school.
(Besides UT Austin.)
Gross.
