I see that Asbury University has high rankings in the south so I am a little surprised that they are not mentioned on this forum. Does anyone have experience with them? My daughter is considering visiting but we are 10 hours away and it would be nice to have some firsthand opinions to help decide if we want to visit. She is interested in social work.
Just had a son graduate from there and have another starting in the fall because the school is amazing. They are so community focused and social work is one of their top majors. They have both on-campus and online masters programs and connections to more than 80 field offices just in Central Kentucky alone. Because of its focus on academic excellence and spiritual vitality, value in every person, grads have a great advantage in finding work upon graduation. Couldn’t recommend this place more.
media arts dept is very strong (film, etc).
very rural and isolated so if you want city life stay away
Pretty strong college, very community feeling and full of missionary kids and preachers kids from all over the States and the world. The mentioned media program is very good and even goes to each Olympics with students as interns reporting on the Games.
