Has anyone heard of National Honor Societies with Greek Shirts

I’ve never heard of it before, but someone told me they’ve seen people in Honor Socities like Phi Eta Sigma or other ones getting Greek letter shirts…

Anyone else ever heard of this?

You mean like they have shirts with their Greek letters on them? That doesn’t seem unusual…

Yeah.

I don’t know, I never pictured Honor Societies wearing letters.
I guess it’s not that far out there.

Are you talking about groups like Tau Beta Pi (Engineering Honor Society) or Phi Beta Kappa (A&S Honor Society)?

they’re greek organizations… it’s just like wearing a shirt that says “International Relations Club” or “Orchestra”.

Do you want them to wear shirts where they spell out the greek letters in English?

I had a shirt from Omicron Delta Kappa (a national leadership honorary) that had the letters spelled out on front and their “key” with the actual greek letters on the back…but I was also in a regular, social fraternity too, so I didn’t particularly wear that shirt except under other shirts. Some of the GDI’s who were inducted at the same time I was were kind of giddy to be in a greek lettered organization, but it wasn’t like it was any where close to a real greek experience.

I think the poster above makes a good point. It’s just another organization.
