I had one of these until I stopped putting up a tree. One year I thought I had disconnected it but surprise, when I lifted the tree the heavy stand dropped on my middle toe. It was probably broken, but I never got it confirmed.

Beautiful cat. I had a gorgeous black cat with lime green eyes who lived to be 18.5. She never climbed into the tree though. But inexplicably, I’d find the pine needles in her litter box! WTH???

We spent our last night in Maine having dinner at the lovely town tavern that had a beautifully decorated Christmas tree and window decor — and there was snow outside:
I love looking at other people’s decorations. That’s enough for me. We’re back in AZ now and DH wants to get the tree up tomorrow, but we still haven’t gotten the patio furniture out of the living room and back outside. I have so much cleaning to do, I just can’t think about Christmas yet. One thing at a time, honey…
