I was accepted ED for CoE and a couple days after that I got my financial aid estimate. Last Friday I received my NetID; however, since then I have not gotten my finalized aid package. My documents were all submitted by the deadline in February. On the self service webpage I can see my aid estimate; however, there is nothing under “pending aid.” I’m not an international student. Should it be taking this long for them to send me financial aid details?
I’m in the same boat. I was accepted ED for CALS, not an international student. I thought it was odd that I didn’t have an aid decision at this point as well so I called the financial aid office to check on it. They said that everything was received, as it showed on my To Do List, and that by late April, early May my decision would be out.
I don’t know why it is taking so long. I was selected for Federal Verification, so I don’t know if that is what delayed it or not. But the woman said there was no need to worry and that they were on schedule and this is the normal time progression for aid decisions.
Where do you check for aid?
You can go to www.finaid.cornell.edu and on the right hand side, under resources, the final option is Aid Decision. You click on that and pick the appropriate option.
They will send you an email (the one you applied with I believe) when your decision is ready with a link to view it.
