has anyone read the 50 harvard essay book?

my question to you is this:
what on EARTH does the banana story say about the author other than the fact that he can tell a story?

that you’re a good writer

but, that’s it? i swear, every other story said something more than “you’re a good writer”

Harvard insists on being random in who it admits - don’t worry about the banana story :)

I personally liked the dandelion story the best. :)

that was an awesome story
but i’m gonna need to use this essay for other schools, not just hahhvahhd…

so i probably won’t take the risk of writing… just a story… without too much of a pt

i saw that book at B&N today and i glanced at it actually. i didn’t think any of the essays were particularly interesting or creative. some of them were okay, but for the most part, nothing really stood apart. did everyone here write essays like those?

yeah seriously my friend praises the book so much
but i don’t think it’s that great
there are a few good ones, but other than that it’s like… ehhhh
