Has anyone that applied to University of Oregon received a link to the portal yet? If so, how long did it take from when your student applied until you received the link?
No. Not yet, and my child applied on 8/2.
Frustrated!!
I called Oregon Admissions today as my daughter can’t when in school (strict new cell phone policy). They were extremely reluctant to even talk to me as the parent, even though I explained that I’m just trying to get her portal information to her email address as she has previously applied (and not received anything) and emailed them several days ago (with no response). She would only tell me that they sent it previously and received a “bounceback”.
My daughter has still not received a portal link either.
Ok. My daughter and I called together yesterday after she got home from school. Does your daughter have a gmail account that she used for the email? There is some problem with that portal email that they send out that is specifically being bounced back from gmail from some, but not all, gmail addresses. We were on the phone with a very helpful person there yesterday afternoon. Ultimately, she sent an email that did not include a “personalized” link to set up the portal, and my daughter did then receive that one.
Yes. My daughter did apply using a Gmail account. I guess maybe she had the same problem. We can hopefully call on Monday before the admissions office closes. Thank you so much for this information. Yes, the workaround email she sent my daughter did work and she has her portal set up now. Good luck to your daughter!
My daughter called the admissions office this morning. They told her that her first portal email had also bounced back, but they sent a new one today and it went through. We made it to the portal!!!
